Date:  Sunday July 23, 2017  1:00 P.M until 3:30ish
Location:  Plasko   Creamery, Bakery, & Farm Stand.  656 Daniels Farm Rd.,     Trumbull, Ct 06611

Plasko’s will set up a tent with picnic tables in the apple orchard.  We can bring along appetizers like cheese/crackers, cut up veg etc.  Please no dessert items as they sell these items as well as a wide assortment of beverages. Porta potties are on sight for public use.

Program:  Lauren Scarpa owner of Country Yarns of Wallingford, Ct will present From Sheep To Garment.  Her small herd was recently sheared.  She will have pics of before and after shearing with their fleece, then take us through the various steps necessary to create yarn: carding, spinning, dying.  She will bring hand painted, hand dyed, and hand spun yarns for purchase.

Each paid member will receive a coupon for an ice cream.  If an additional item, like a Sunday is desired, the coupon may be applied toward the purchase.  Guests are welcome but only paid members will receive a coupon from the guild.  For this reason,  we will need an RSVP.  To date we have about 25 coming.  Plasko’s will accommodate any number and set up whatever tents are needed.

Parking for our event should be in the parking lot adjacent to my driveway.  You will see it.  We want to leave the parking on Country Club Rd for the Creamery.

Bring your own chair if picnic table seating is not comfortable for you.

A poster announcing the event will be posted at the creamery. This will be a great opportunity for people to know about our guild and perhaps we will   get new members.
